Corten retaining wall with capping
Corten steel requires no maintenance, as over time it develops a crystalline rust patina that dramatically reduces further corrosion
Posts set in concrete pile holes
Generally the retaining wall pile hole depth is equal to the height of the retaining wall. However in softer soils or walls supporting sloping ground, driveways, or buildings, the post and pile retaining wall method solves this by adjusting the post spacings and pile depths.
More info on lifespan
Avoid thin corten, which after as little as 10 years may be structurally inadequate
